The KRG Representation in the US is able to authenticate birth certificates for children of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq who were born in the United States, issued by US/Canadian institutions.
You have two options:
Option 1. You may do the legwork at this end by going through the Iraqi Consulate process, which will give you an Iraqi birth certificate by the end of the process. To learn more, visit the Iraqi Consulate's website at: https://www.iraqiembassy.us/page/requirements-for-requesting-birth-certificates
Option 2. You may go through the KRG process, which will authenticate your US/Canadian birth certificates, but no Iraqi birth certificates will be issued at this end. You'll do that in Kurdistan.

The KRG-USA is only able to accept certifications that have been authenticated by the United States Secretary of State (of your state).
In order to have your documents authenticated by the KRG Representation in the US, please include the following documents with your application:

Please allow at least 15 business days (3 weeks) for processing.

Once this process is done, you'll take your authenticate documents to the KRG Department of Foreign Relations in Erbil for further processing.
