Washington DC, USA (us.gov.krd) – Representative Bayan Sami Abdul Rahman welcomed a delegation of security and police officers from the Kurdistan Region to the KRG Mission in Washington, DC, on July 27, 2022.

The delegation and the Representation team discussed recent security and political developments in Kurdistan and Iraq.  Representative Abdul Rahman thanked the delegation for their efforts in ensuring the safety and security of the people of Kurdistan.

The officers from the police force and Asayish were in the United States to participate in the US State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) professional exchange program. Through short-term visits to the United States, current and emerging foreign leaders in a variety of fields experience America firsthand and cultivate lasting relationships with their American counterparts.
