Washington DC, USA (us.gov.krd) – KRG Representative Bayan Sami Abdul Rahman met with Congressman Hal Rogers (Republican of Kentucky) on November 17, 2022, to discuss political, security, and economic developments in the Kurdistan Region.

Representative Abdul Rahman and Congressman Rogers also discussed the impact of regional issues on Iraqi stability and sovereignty and the shared interests of the United States and the Kurdistan Region of having a stable Iraq.

The Representative thanked Congressman Rogers for his ongoing support of Kurdish Peshmerga forces. The US Congress has provided assistance to the Peshmerga for several years to ensure the enduring defeat of ISIS.

Congressman Rogers is Dean of the House of Representatives and a member of the House Appropriations Committee.
