Washington, D.C. (us.gov.krd) — KRG Prime Minister Masrour Barzani attended two receptions hosted by American business leaders during his visit to Washington.

The first event, organized by the United States Kurdistan Business Council, gathered American officials, business executives, and prominent investors. Prime Minister Barzani, in his keynote address, expressed gratitude to the United States and American investors for their steadfast friendship and investments in the Kurdistan Region. He highlighted the numerous investment opportunities available in the region, emphasizing the potential for mutually beneficial partnerships.

The second reception, hosted by the US Chamber of Commerce, attracted a large number of American business leaders and investors and members of the Kurdish diaspora in the U.S. Prime Minister Barzani extended his gratitude to the American business community for their ongoing support and investment in the Kurdistan Region. During his address, Prime Minister Barzani highlighted the KRG's ambitious reform program, aimed at diversifying the economy and rebuilding its agricultural sectors. He emphasized the KRG's commitment to creating a conducive environment for foreign investment and business growth. He concluded his remarks by extending an invitation to U.S. companies to explore the abundant opportunities in the Kurdistan Region, highlighting sectors like energy, technology, health and tourism.

These events underscored the Kurdistan Regional Government's proactive approach in building bridges with international business communities, showcasing the Kurdistan Region as a burgeoning hub for investment and economic cooperation.
