KRG Representative discusses capacity building and financial instruments with DFC



Washington, DC, USA (us.gov.krd) – The KRG Representative to the United States, Ms. Bayan Sami Abdul Rahman virtually met with U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) team on April 29. The meeting included Kyle Murphy, Senior Advisor to DFC's Chief Executive Officer (CEO), James Miller, Senior Policy Advisor on detail from the U.S. Department of State and Beth Adler on detail from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). 

Ms. Abdul Rahaman updated the DFC team on the humanitarian and economic developments in the Kurdistan Region and requested DFC's support to the Kurdistan Region in capacity building and providing financial instruments to the private sectors in energy, agriculture, and tourism, and manufacturing in particular.

DFC is the development finance institution of the United States federal government, primarily responsible for providing and facilitating the financing of private development projects in lower-and middle-income countries.
