Washington DC, USA (us.gov.krd) – Representative Bayan Sami Abdul Rahman welcomed Professor Mohammad Sadik Khoshnau, Vice Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Iraqi Parliament, to the KRG Mission on May 23, 2023. 

Representative Abdul Rahman and Professor Khoshnau had a fruitful discussion about US-Iraq relations, the delegation of Iraqi members of Parliament who were visiting Washington, and relations between Erbil and Baghdad.

Ms Abdul Rahman highlighted some of the KRG Representation's activities in Washington, including the Mission’s efforts to widen the Kurdistan-US relationship to incorporate more commercial and cultural activities.

Professor Khoshnau, a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, has a long history in higher education in the Kurdistan Region, including several years as President of Salahaddin University and President of Lebanese French University, both in Erbil.
