KRG and U.S. Officials Discuss Bilateral Cooperation on Security and Energy



Washington DC, USA (us.gov.krd) - KRG Representative to the United States, Bayan Sami Abdul Rahman, met jointly with officials from the White House National Security Council and the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs on April 14 to discuss bilateral cooperation on security, mutual energy interests, and upcoming cultural and business delegations to Erbil and Washington.

They discussed the strong partnership between the United States and Kurdistan and the importance of continued cooperation on security and energy. Ms. Abdul Rahman expressed her appreciation for the U.S. government's support for the KRG in its efforts to combat terrorism and promote economic development.

The two sides also discussed upcoming cultural and business delegations to Erbil and Washington, highlighting the importance of expanding people-to-people ties between the United States and the Kurdistan Region. They expressed their mutual commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

The KRG Representative looks forward to building on the longstanding partnership between the United States and Kurdistan and continuing to strengthen bilateral cooperation on a wide range of issues.
