Prime Minister Masrour Barzani officially inaugurated the Youth Hub in Erbil, marking a major milestone in expanding opportunities for young people across the Kurdistan Region.
The Youth Hub is the largest and most advanced youth center in the Kurdistan Region and among the largest of its kind globally. Designed as a comprehensive platform for innovation, learning, culture, and community engagement, the facility provides young people with access to educational, cultural, technological, artistic, media, and professional development opportunities within one integrated space.
The initiative reflects a broader commitment to empowering the next generation by strengthening leadership, supporting talent development, and creating pathways for young people to actively contribute to the social, economic, and cultural advancement of the Kurdistan Region.
During the inauguration, Prime Minister Barzani toured the Hub’s cultural, media, artistic, and technology facilities and met with young civil activists who presented their projects and achievements. In his remarks, the Prime Minister described the Youth Hub as a source of pride for the people of Kurdistan and a dynamic space where young people can learn, grow, exchange ideas, and realize their full potential.

Prime Minister Barzani congratulated the youth of Kurdistan and expressed his appreciation to all those who contributed to establishing the center. He emphasized the importance of creating spaces that bring young people together and provide them with access to learning resources, including libraries, training programs, and opportunities for collaboration.
The Prime Minister also encouraged young people to study their history and understand the sacrifices that have shaped the Kurdistan Region’s development. He stressed that preserving cultural identity should go hand in hand with embracing innovation, technology, and modern knowledge.
Highlighting the strategic importance of the Youth Hub, Prime Minister Barzani noted that the center responds to the growing need for opportunities that allow young people to develop their talents and ambitions within their homeland. He also emphasized the Hub’s role in strengthening social cohesion by bringing together youth from different cities, towns, and communities, creating opportunities for dialogue, cooperation, and mutual learning.
“Young people should never feel marginalized or believe that their voices go unheard,” Prime Minister Barzani stated, reaffirming that the contributions of youth are recognized and valued and that young people play a vital role in shaping the future of the Kurdistan Region.

He concluded by encouraging young people to pursue their ambitions with confidence, think boldly, and set ambitious goals for themselves and their communities. He emphasized that no dream is beyond reach and no objective is unattainable for those willing to dedicate themselves to achieving it.
The inauguration of the Youth Hub reflects the Kurdistan Foundation’s continued commitment to investing in future generations. Through this landmark initiative, the Foundation seeks to provide an inclusive platform where young people can develop skills, build networks, transform ideas into action, and contribute to a more innovative, dynamic, and knowledge-based society.
As the Youth Hub opens its doors to young people from across the Kurdistan Region, it is expected to serve as a catalyst for creativity, entrepreneurship, civic engagement, and leadership development, helping shape the next generation of changemakers and innovators in Kurdistan.
