Prime Minister Masrour Barzani Meets with U.S. Senators Angus King and James Lankford in Washington

On Tuesday, Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met with U.S. Senators Angus King and James Lankford in Washington, D.C.

The senators welcomed the Prime Minister’s visit and commended the Peshmerga forces for their courageous role in the fight against ISIS. They also recognized the Kurdistan Region’s vital contribution to regional and global efforts against terrorism.

The meeting also addressed recent energy agreements signed in Washington, with both sides highlighting the potential of these deals to drive economic growth not only in the Kurdistan Region but across Iraq as a whole.
