Representation in the United States

Commemoration Ceremony for the Victims of the Halabja Genocide Held at the U.S. Capitol

We hosted a solemn ceremony at the U.S. Capitol to honor the victims of the Halabja genocide and reaffirm our ongoing commitment to justice and remembrance.

We were honored by the presence of Congressman Abraham Hamadeh, Aaron Newton from the U.S. State Department’s Office of Iraqi Affairs, and Dr. Yerevan Saeed, Program Director of the Kurdish Global Initiative for Peace at American University’s School of International Service.
