Washington, DC, USA (us.gov.krd) – Representative Bayan Sami Abul Rahman and Dana Stroul, the Department of Defense Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Middle East, held a virtual meeting on Monday.

The two discussed Ms. Stroul's trip to Kurdistan, Peshmerga reforms, the US-KRG security partnership, and the recent security developments in the region. Ms. Stroul reiterated the U.S. commitment to the Peshmerga and Iraqi forces in the fight against ISIS.

In her capacity as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (DASD) for the Middle East, Ms. Stroul leads the development of U.S. Department of Defense Policy and Strategy for Bahrain, Egypt, Israel, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestinian Authority, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.
