Washington, DC, USA (us.gov.krd) – Representative Bayan Sami Abul Rahman and Dana Stroul, the Department of Defense Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Middle East, had a virtual meeting on April 6 in which they discussed security issues affecting the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.

Ms. Abdul Rahman and Ms. Stroul met ahead of the US Iraq Strategic Dialogue and discussed the aims of both sides in that meeting.

They spoke about recent security developments in the region that are of mutual concern as well as the evolution of the NATO Mission in Iraq, which is expected to expand and provide training and advice to Iraqi security forces.

They also discussed US-Kurdistan cooperation against ISIS and future relations.
