Washington - D.C., USA (us.gov.krd) - The Kurdistan Regional Government Representation in the United States participated in an International Religious Freedom (IRF) Roundtable focused on the Kurdistan Region on Thursday, May 21, 2020.

The participants discussed a spectrum of issues concerning religious freedom and recent developments in the Kurdistan Region, including the civil society-led efforts to lay the groundwork for a Roundtable in Erbil. 

The meeting included about 90 participants representing society organizations, faith communities, and U.S. and KRG government officials sharing pressing issues and ideas for further engagement to support religious freedom initiatives. The meeting was the fourth roundtable focused on Kurdistan.
