Washington DC, USA (us.gov.krd) – The Kurdistan Regional Government Representation welcomed His Excellency Hoshyar Zebari, former Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Finance Minister of Iraq, to the KRG Mission on September 12, 2022.

Representative Bayan Sami Abdul Rahman said, ‘It was an honor to welcome such an esteemed and experienced Kurdish and Iraqi statesman to the Representation. Mr. Zebari is in a unique position to assess the political situation in Baghdad and in Erbil.’

On September 28, Mr. Zebari spoke at a public event hosted by the Center for Strategic and International Studies in which he gave his views on the recent political maneuvers in Baghdad, as well as the attacks by Iran on the Kurdistan Region.
