Washington - D.C., USA (us.gov.krd) - Representative Bayan Sami Abdul Rahman met with Congressman Ted Deutch (D-FL), Chairman of Subcommittee of the House Foreign Affairs Committee on the Middle East, North Africa, and Global Counterterrorism on May 11. 

They discussed the security and political issues impacting Kurdistan, Iraq, and the region. Ms. Abdul Rahman also briefed the congressman on the humanitarian situation and the upcoming Iraqi parliamentary elections in October 2021. 

Congressman Ted Deutch represents Florida's 22nd district, home to communities in northern Broward County and southeastern Palm Beach County in South Florida. He is now serving his seventh term in the 117th Congress.
