Washington - D.C., USA (us.gov.krd) - Representative Bayan Sami Abdul Rahman had a virtual meeting with Congressman Brian Babin (R-TX), Member of the House Armed Services Committee, and Kurdish American Congressional Caucus, on July 21.

The two had an interesting exchange on the situation in Kurdistan and Iraq. The congressman expressed his support and described the people of Kurdistan as resilient and resourceful.

Congressman Babin represents the 36th District of Texas. He served as an airborne artilleryman in the Texas Army National Guard and the U.S. Army Reserve. He was appointed to the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology and is the Ranking Member of the House Subcommittee on Space.
