KRG Representative discusses security issues with DASD Stroul



Washington, DC, USA (us.gov.krd) – Representative Bayan Sami Abul Rahman and Dana Stroul, the Department of Defense Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Middle East, had a phone call on July 20.

The two discussed the upcoming US-Iraq Strategic Dialogue that is taking place in Washington this week and continued cooperation among the Peshmerga, Iraqi Security Forces, and the Coalition forces in the fight against ISIS. They also discussed the Iraqi election and the importance of a free and credible process.

In her capacity as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (DASD) for the Middle East, Ms. Stroul leads the development of U.S. Department of Defense Policy and Strategy for Bahrain, Egypt, Israel, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestinian Authority, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.
