Washington, DC, USA (us.gov.krd) – Representative Bayan Sami Abdul Rahman met with Congressman Jason Crow, member of the House Armed Services and Intelligence Committees and Co-Chair of the Kurdish American Congressional Caucus, on May 12.
The KRG envoy briefed the Congressman on the recent political developments and Kurdistan's security challenges in Kurdistan and Iraq and exchanged ideas to enhance cooperation and maintain the Kurdistan-US strategic partnership.
Ms. Abdul Rahman thanked him for his support and co-leadership of the Kurdish-American Congressional Caucus.
The United States is a key partner to the Kurdistan Region and Iraq in the fight against ISIS and provides assistance in various areas to the peshmerga forces who have fought ISIS since 2014 and continue to protect the country.
Congressman Crow represents Colorado's 6th Congressional District and serves on the House Small Business and Armed Services Committees and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. He is a former Army Ranger and a Bronze Star recipient.
