A Kurdistan For All: New publication celebrates Kurdistan's religious diversity

Washington, DC, USA (us.gov.krd) - The Kurdistan Regional Government Representation in the United States is pleased to present the newly published book A Kurdistan for All: Embracing Faith and Diversity. The book portrays the Kurdistan Region's culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence among its religious components: Muslims, Christians, Yazidis, Jews, Zoroastrians, Baha'is, Sabean Mandaeans, and Kakais.

The book outlines how people of various faiths have lived side by side in Kurdistan Region, despite enduring decades of turmoil. It covers how Kurdistan's diversity is celebrated and protected through education, security, dialogue and laws.

A Kurdistan For All includes interviews and testimonies from faith leaders, diplomats, government officials, philanthropists, citizens, and survivors of genocide, as well as a foreword by H.E. President Nechirvan Barzani.

Among those who contributed to this book are Ambassador Sam Brownback, former US Ambassador-At-Large for International Religious Freedom; Congressman Michael Waltz, Member of the U.S. House of Representatives; Canada's Ambassador to Iraq Ulric Shannon; and Franklin Graham, President of Samaritan's Purse.
